Experience is the great teacher, but we sometimes make lousy students.
Perspective can change your life—but only the new ones. The old ones are just the clothes you wore in. A new perspective might not fit well when you first try it on, but give it time. You'll break in for it.

I can't keep routines from being interrupted. I can't keep life from intruding on my plans. I can't prevent the hiccups that happen when I thought I had my day all mapped out.
But I can keep my priorities in mind. I can keep a list of tasks. I can look for spaces in time to do what needs doing.
You'll never get anywhere new by taking the same paths you take every day. You already know how to get to work, get to school, get to church, get home.
How do you get to Mars? How do you get to a Fortune 100 business? How do you get to a world free of disease?
The only way to get there is disruption. Embrace disruption. Be disruptive.
I just learned that fear is a sign that you're not loving perfectly. And at first, that makes it seem like fear is inevitable.
But the truth is, that's hopeful. Because it means that the antidote to fear is to do something you love.
No matter what kind of positive impact you have on the world, there will always be someone who thinks you're a selfish jerk. And maybe you are!
So what?
Go make a dent in the universe anyway. Take up your hammer and start making some noise. Drown them out with the wonders you'll create.
